A FORRES hair salon has celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Forres business Solo Hair Design, owned by local woman Lisa Lawrence, passed a huge milestone as it marked a decade of trading.
Lisa said: "I definitely feel proud to have reached that milestone!
"I had no experience of running a business at all when I started and I’m still learning even after 10 years.
"We had started making plans to celebrate but then had a spell of disruption due to staff members having Covid.
"When everything settles down I’m sure we will celebrate with both our staff and clients."
Despite her lack of prior business experience, Lisa has grown the High Street business into a much-loved local institution.
The salon, which offers a range of cutting, styling and colouring services, is even looking to boost their team of seven.
Lisa said: "We are looking to grow our team of stylists in the near future and we are always looking for experienced qualified stylists who want to join us at Solo.
"If anyone is interested they can contact the Salon."
Providing the local community with high-quality hairdressing is a point of pride for Lisa.
The salon's quality was recognised when they received five stars in the 2020 Good Salon Guide.
Lisa said: "To run an established business in my home town and provide a service to local people is something I set out to do 10 years ago.
"Still being here and to have grown the business in terms of clients and employees is something I am extremely proud of."
Throughout Solo Hair Design's time in Forres, loyal clients have formed a strong bedrock of support, according to Lisa.
She said: "Like any business Solo is reliant on clients buying our services.
"We have always focused on giving clients the best experience possible.
"The last two years have made this really hard but we are looking forward to being able to give our clients the best possible experience again."
