Forres man Scott McCulloch charged with killing his grandmother

A FORRES man has been charged with murdering his 84-year-old grandmother.

Scott McCulloch appeared today (Wednesday, September 7) in private at Inverness Sheriff Court

He made no plea to assaulting and killing Patricia Bitters who died in Raigmore Hospital on Saturday.

At around 10pm on Sunday, August 28, police were called to Oyster Catcher Close, Knockomie Braes following a report of a woman being assaulted.

McCulloch (25) was fully committed and has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
