Spot On Cabs, Forres wins two Scottish Taxi and Private Hire and Chauffeur Awards 2022

A LOCAL business won two accolades at a national awards ceremony at the weekend.

Spot On Cabs, based at Greshop Industrial Estate, are the new Scottish Taxi and Private Hire and Chauffeur Awards (STPHC) Scottish Taxi Company of the Year (with less than 20 vehicles) and Best Uniformed Drivers title holders, following votes from judges and the public, then a ceremony at the Doubletree by Hilton Glasgow Central on Saturday, March 19.

Owner Stephen Duncan attended the event with his colleague, driver Kenny Gordon.

Stephen said: "The venue was stunning and had a real red carpet feel to it. The entertainment was outstanding and there was great banter throughout the night. The whole evening was phenomenal.

"Our wins were massive and we are still overjoyed and overwhelmed. It's an amazing achievement for our staff and customers.

"Thank you to everyone who voted for and supported us - we couldn't have done it without you!"

Spot On Cabs was founded in 2010, now operates 10 vehicles including cars and mini-buses, and employs 13 people. The firm also recently opened a valeting/hand car wash and car essentials shop at 10 Greshop Industrial Estate.

The annual STPHC awards recognise the work of companies across Scotland. The event honours the outstanding professionals in the fields of hackney, private hire and chauffeur industry, recognising, celebrating and promoting best practice.

The Scottish Taxi Company of the Year Award is voted on by the public.

A STPHC spokesman said: "We had companies from all over Scotland enter so Spot On Cabs have done fantastic."
