A LOCAL business has been shortlisted for a national award.

Growing Forres-based digital telecoms company, Fibre 1, is in the running in the 'Reseller of the Year' category at the Comms Business Awards, for the second year running.

A spokesman confirmed the team is "ecstatic" to be recognised for their hard work through testing times and is looking forward to more success in the future.

He said: "We provide data, voice and hosting services to businesses across the UK. Our product portfolio includes fibre connectivity, hosted telephony, FTTC, FTTP, leased lines and VPLS networks.

"We work with businesses of all sizes and only offer services that we are in no doubt that we can successfully deliver. We believe that no job should be impossible providing you have a strong relationship with suppliers, an excellent project management team and exceptional level of customer care."

The spokesman confirmed the firm takes pride in customer service, providing support throughout projects while meeting deadlines.

The company is Moray School Bank’s first corporate sponsor. Fibre 1 provide connectivity at the charity's headquarters in Craigellachie and give a percentage of revenue of all contracts signed to support it.

Fibre 1's 'Switch and Save' campaign helps businesses save money on telecoms and connectivity.

The firm is now focussed on the ISDN Switch-off, with Openreach phasing out ISDN lines by 2025.
