A FLOOD alert has been issued for the Findhorn, Nairn, Moray and Speyside areas.

Heavy rain is forecast to affect the area on Saturday and Sunday, which could cause flooding impacts from rivers and surface water.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has confirmed that potential impacts include isolated flooding affecting individual properties, localised flooding of low-lying land and roads, and disruption to travel.

A spokesperson said: "Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.

"Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 9881188."
