She explained: “Following a review of recent rural outreach work, I approached Anderson’s to see if we could deliver a Marketplace event to support families in the Forres catchment area.

“The idea is to offer a one-stop-shop for families, with support from a range of partners to discuss health and wellbeing, funding, training opportunities, employment opportunities and housing - amongst other topics.

“The invite is open to all.”

Organisations attending include: Community and Learning Development; DWP; Enable; Forres Area Community Trust; Happy Little Preloved; Housing; Moray Council Income Maximisation Team; Moray Council Libraries and IT Support; Moray Pathways Employability Team; REAP; Skills Development Scotland; Social Security Scotland and UHI Moray.

More may attend on the day and these are subject to change.

Jane said: “We recognise that many families are struggling as we head towards autumn and winter, with costs continually rising.

“I’ve arranged for this event to have a wide range of partners to advise and support parents and carers.

“Feel free to accompany anyone you are working with to this event should they need support to attend.”

The DWP marketplace takes place at Anderson’s Primary School on Tuesday, October 1 from 2.30-4pm.
