Court documents show that the 53-year-old was caught at Arradoul on August 6, 2024.

When tested, Cormack returned a reading of 383 micrograms of cocaine metabolite Benzoylecgonine - compared to the legal limit of 50 micrograms.

Benzoylecgonine is a substance which the human body produces as cocaine is broken down.

However, Solicitor Stephen Carty tendered a not guilty plea on the 53-year-old’s behalf to a Class A drug possession charge.

Fiscal depute Sophie Marshall confirmed that these pleas were accepted.

Sheriff Olga Pasportnikov deferred Cormack’s sentencing for the preparation of reports.

He is set to be sentenced on January 9, 2025.
