Experienced staff from Moray Council’s fostering and adoption teams will be on hand to chat through any questions regarding fostering, covering everything from different types of fostering, to the skills and qualities required, fees and allowances, and training and support.

"They will be joined by current foster carers who can share their experiences.

Moray Council’s Service Manager for Children and Families Social Work, Carl Campbell, said: “There remains a high demand for foster carers locally; last year five fostering assessments were carried out by the fostering panel, with four children matched with fostering households.

“More foster carers are needed, though, so if you’ve ever considered fostering then please come along to speak with us, or check our website for more information or our contact details. We’re always happy to talk prospective foster carers through the process, and set out the continuous help, support and training we offer our valued fosterers.

"If you’ve a spare room, the time and empathy to support vulnerable children and young people in Moray, we’d really like to hear from you.

“At these events our inspiring foster carers will be able to share their life-changing experience of fostering, in a real and honest way. Come and find out what motivated them to foster, and the positive impact it’s had on their life, and the lives of those they’ve cared for.”
