NHS Grampian is urging anyone in cohorts 1-9 for Covid-19 vaccination – who have yet to receive their first dose – to get in touch as soon as they can.

Cohorts 1-9 cover everyone aged 50 and over, those who are clinically extremely vulnerable, people with an underlying health condition which puts them at increased risk, and unpaid carers.

Katrina Morrison, clinical lead nurse for the Covid-19 vaccination programme, said: "We have made amazing progress in the programme to date, with more than 270,000 people across Grampian receiving their first dose.

"If anyone in cohorts 1-9 has not yet been offered an appointment, they should complete the form developed by NHS Inform as a matter of urgency.

"If they have already completed that form and have yet to receive a response, they should call one of our contact centres, as follows: Moray 0345 337 9899; Aberdeenshire 0330 128 9919; Aberdeen 0800 030 4713.

"I would urge anyone outwith cohorts 1-9 – that is, all adults aged 49 and under – to be patient and not get in contact at present.

"We will be moving into the next phase of vaccination soon, but we are not in a position to confirm appointments with anyone aged 49 or under – and not in a priority group – at present.

"Our success in the vaccination programme is down to a significant amount of hard work by teams working across health and social care – and the willingness of the general public to roll up their sleeves and take the jab. We are so grateful to everyone involved."

The missing appointments form is available here: https://www.nhsinform.scot/covid-19-vaccine/invitations-and-appointments/missing-appointment-details.

The national system for scheduling appointments draws information from NHS boards, general practice and other clinical data to create groups of patients to invite for vaccination.

From time to time there may be inaccuracies in data, including out-of-date addresses.

In order to help NHS Grampian reach the population as quickly as possible, anyone who has recently moved house, or is due to move house in the near future, is asked to ensure their details are correct with their GP.
