A FREE screening of a David Attenborough documentary will take place at Forres Town Hall on Friday.

Breaking Boundaries: The Science of our Planet will be screened in full at the town hall before an open discussion takes place on the documentary.

The event will take place from 7pm to 9pm on Friday, September 10.

The screening is one of the Climate Fringe events being organised by community groups across Scotland.

It is the second local event being held as part of Climate Fringe after the successful climate café hosted by Extinction Rebellion Forres in the Tolbooth on August 28.

Local organiser Allan Gray said: “This moving film covers the inter-connected issues surrounding our relationship with the planet and brings insights into not only the climate and ecological crisis but also what needs to be done to avert it.

"We hope that, through holding a discussion following the film screening, we can come together as a community to explore what needs to be done and how we can be part of the solution.”

Next week, Extinction Rebellion Forres will be hosting a free public talk on Citizen Assemblies.

The talk will be held in the courtroom of the Tolbooth, Forres, on Wednesday, September 15, from 7pm to 9pm and will be followed by a Q&A session.
