Devoted Corrie fans will know him better as Martin Platt, a character he played for 21 years in the popular ITV soap before leaving in 2005.

Since then, Sean has followed his dream of artisan cheese production, cooking, food writing, art and jazz.

The Artisan Cheese Company was formed in 2009 and produces five provenance Lancashire cheeses.

He is involved with the cheese judging fraternity and travels the country as a judge in the World’s largest competitions.

His range of cheeses have 40 national and international awards to date and are classed as some of the finest in category.

Sean has served briefly as an invited cook at Michelin-starred restaurant Northcote Manor under the auspices of Lisa Goodwin-Allen. He can also be found at many food festivals demonstrating his talent for cooking and cheese to the British public.

His Channel 5, series ‘The Great Northern Cookbook’ in 2012, attracted a weekly audience of 1.2 million and the subsequent book was well received.

Since this he has written the Cheese lovers bible ‘Cheddar Gorged’. In addition, he’s remixed the recipe for cookbook writing with ‘Jazz Food’ which is fully illustrated by a series of Sean’s own Jazz artwork, and includes his selection of jazz playlists, via QR codes.

Sean is a regular visitor to Lossiemouth and he will be at the town hall from 10am-noon on January 25. Admission at the door is £4 for adults and £2 for children.

All profits from the event will go towards a community garden project for the town being spearheaded by the Lossiemouth Community Development Trust.

He will also be signing copies of his cookery books and chatting to visitors.
