Forres Chorale Spring Concert sees more than 100 people attend
More than 100 people attended a classical concert, helping to raise £1100 for its venue’s funds.
The Forres Chorale Spring Concert on Saturday March 29 at St John's Church also marked conductor Brian Smith’s 70th birthday.
He said: “My personal highlights were playing the organ concerto with the superb orchestra - and some of the quieter movements with the choir and orchestra.
“The ‘Cantique de Jean Racine’ was superb and the ‘Agnus Dei’ - the final movement of the Hummel Mass - brought the concert to a warm and peaceful conclusion.”
Forres Chorale was established in 2019 to encourage participation in a high standard of choral singing in the area by a range of age groups supported by local musicians.
St John's Church has been Forres Chorale's home since it was founded.
