MORAY Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) has announced an extended outreach service in Forres.

Free, impartial and confidential advice on a range of topics including welfare rights, legal claims and aid, money management and housing will now be available at Forres Jobcentre every Monday at 1pm.

Moray CAB manager, Mary Riley, said: "The additional outreach will help people access CAB information services. We provide a holistic service and clients can contact us if they are facing issues related to benefits, employment, utilities, immigration, health, family or anything else.

"The project will run for two years."

Part of the Scottish Citizens Advice network, every year Moray CAB works with 3000 clients and helps resolve 8200 issues. As a registered charity, it relies on donations and the work of its 35 staff and volunteers.

Advisors have a minimum of six months of training to equip them with knowledge on a wide range of issues.

They also have access to the AdviserNet Information System which assists with the most up-to-date advice.

A CAB quality and training team regularly review the advice via a bureau audit.
