Local families who lost a loved one are invited to attend Moray’s Christmas Memorial Evening hosted by Elgin based funeral directors, W.G. Catto, on Wednesday, December 18, from 7-8pm.

Organised by the town’s funeral directors, the annual event includes festive singing from the Made for Music Choir and is led by a blend of local clergy and celebrants.

Families can leave a message on the town’s memorial tree and enjoy festive treats and refreshments.

Organiser John Mackay said: “The festive period can be a challenge for some, so this annual event gives them a chance to celebrate absent friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.

"It’s so popular that we are encouraging people to book their space by emailing rsvp@wgcatto.co.uk today."
