Four young people could soon be embarking on exciting careers at a number of different sites, including Chivas's Strathisla distillery.
Four young people could soon be embarking on exciting careers at a number of different sites, including Chivas's Strathisla distillery.

Chivas Brothers Ltd is gearing up a Sector Based Work Academy Programme.

A total of 12 vacancies are available on the scheme, four of whom will move forward into work experience placements and, fro there, potentially into full-time employment. Awaiting the successful quartet are a role as a lab analyst, a distillery technician and two warehouse operator posts.

The scheme is open to any 18-24-year-old who is in receipt of benefits, and anyone to apply or would like more information would need to speak to their Work Coach in their local Jobcentre Plus.

The original deadline for applications has now been extended and is open until Wednesday, January 13.

Applicants ideally should have a driving license but this is not essential.

The scheme is a joint venture between Chivas Brothers Ltd, Developing the Young Workforce Moray, Moray College UHI and the Department of Work and Pensions.
