Moray Chamber CEO Sarah Medcraf appointed to Scottish Chambers of Commerce board





The chief executive of a chamber of commerce has been appointed to the Scottish Chambers of Commerce board.

Sarah Medcraf, Moray Chamber’s CEO, has joined the Scottish Chambers board of directors - with the move coinciding with her decade anniversary in the role.

Sarah, who also chairs the Moray Economic Partnership and Moray’s Town Centres Task Force, is looking forward to taking on the role.

She said: “This is a proud moment as I approach 10 years with the Moray Chamber of Commerce in early 2025.

“I look forward to contributing to the strategic direction of Scottish Chambers of Commerce and working alongside my esteemed colleagues to drive forward initiatives that support and grow businesses across Scotland.”

SCC President Stephen Leckie welcomed Sarah’s appointment.

He said: “At a critical time for businesses in Scotland, it’s essential that we bring together experienced and dynamic leaders like Sarah to help drive economic growth and ensure that business voices are heard at both UK and Scottish government levels.”

Liz Cameron, Chief Executive of the SCC, added: “Sarah brings a wealth of experience from her years in leadership at Moray Chamber.

“Her dedication to supporting local businesses and driving regional growth will be a tremendous asset to the board.”

Sarah’s involvement in the SCC board will ensure Moray’s business community continues to have a strong voice on the national stage.
