HEALTH and Social Care Moray (HSCM) held a wellbeing information event at Forres Town Hall.

Public involvement officer Fiona McPherson organised the event to offer the community the chance to learn about groups and services available in the area that help people get connected, live and age well.

She said: "The Partners in Care drop-in event celebrated the wealth of local support helping people draw on their own personal resources to keep well and live independently. There was also the opportunity to learn more about the health and care interventions that help people at times of crisis as well as how people are taking more control over how their long-term care and support needs are met."

Information stalls in the hall included Alzheimer Scotland, Caring Community Circle, CLAN Cancer Support, Contact the Elderly, Dead Good events, Forres Area Community Trust Cameron Project, Forres Wellbeing, Health and Social Care Moray Volunteer Team, Healthpoint, H1, Moray Wellbeing Hub, North East Sensory Service, Quarriers, Quarriers Epilepsy Fieldwork Service, Circles Advocacy, Forres Locality Multi-disciplinary Team, Forres Community Council, Forres in Bloom and The Glasgow School of Art.

Ms McPherson said: "We had a steady stream of people coming in to look around and have a conversation with the people on the stalls. I hope the attendees went away feeling more informed about how they can maximise their own health and wellbeing, or support others to do so."
