BREAKING: Police launch enquiry after ‘unexplained’ death of man (66) in Elgin

Enquiries are ongoing following the sudden death of a 66-year-old man at a property in the Kingsmills area of Elgin earlier today.

Police Scotland were called to the incident at around 3.50pm.

They say that while the death is “unexplained”, but is not being treated as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.50pm on Monday, January 6, 2025, we were called to an address in Kingsmills, Elgin following the sudden death of a 66-year-old man.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but there are not believed to any suspicious circumstances.

“Enquiries are ongoing.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
