Moray crash on A941 between Lossiemouth and Elgin sees 20-year-old biker rushed to hospital





A biker is in a “serious condition” after a crash involving a van.

The incident, on the A941 between Lossiemouth and Elgin last night, saw the 20-year-old rushed to Dr Gray’s hospital by ambulance before being taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Police confirmed that the road was closed for 12 hours following the “serious crash” at around 10pm, but has now reopened.

Appealing for information, officers said the incident involved a grey Renault Traffic van and a black Keeway Superlight 125 motorbike on the A941 south of the B9135 junction.

Two fire service vehicles were also sent to the scene, a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed, with “all occupants of both vehicles” passed into the care of paramedics.

The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that an ambulance, a resuscitation rapid response unit and a trauma team were sent to the scene.

Sergeant Lesley Morrison said: “Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing. I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, to contact us as soon as possible.”
