MAN of the moment Lewis Capaldi will be among the acts performing at Belladrum which kicks off tomorrow.

The three-day music festival at Beauly near Inverness will see Elbow headline on Thursday and Chvrches on Friday.

Jess Glynne, who with seven to her name holds the record for most number ones by a British female artist, will be rounding things off on Saturday.

Other popular acts include former Smith guitarist Johnny Marr and folk stalwart Richard Thompson

However, although not headlining, it is Capaldi who has arguably become the biggest draw.

The Glaswegian has leapt to fame in recent weeks following the release of his new album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.

In addition, an ongoing spat with former Oasis singer Noel Gallagher – who likened him to Chewbacca – is continuing to generate publicity.

Since its beginning in 2004 as a one-day festival for 2000 people, Belladrum has grown to become one of Scotland's biggest music festivals.

This year's festival will attract a 20,000-capacity crowd, with about 14,000 camping.
