THE hospitality sector gets a first step back to a brighter future today with beer gardens able to open under lockdown easing.
Landlords will be hoping for sunshine later today as they get set to welcome back regulars and new customers.
The Mosset Tavern in Forres has created an outdoor eating and drinking space, appropriately called the Mosset 'Outside Inn' and it too opens today.
Many establishments across Moray and Aberdeenshire have been making alterations to be able to host customers while ensuring the current two metre safe distancing guidelines are met.
Pubs, hotels and clubs will not be able to serve people indoors until July 15 at the earliest and subject to safety measures being implemented to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.
The Rock House in Lossiemouth is one of those ready to welcome back customers from 11am today.
"We have a number of restrictions and rules in place which is easy to follow (remember this is new to us too), so all we ask is for you to be patient follow the rules and enjoy," the pub owners said on their Facebook page.
All staff have done the necessary online courses to further understand the virus and the prevention of spreading.
