Bad Actress take to stage at Elgin Town Hall

Elgin Town Hall is to be the setting for a new music video.
North Scotland rock band, Bad Actress, spent five hours filming on Sunday, June 26 for their new single, Hot Stuff, which is due for release later this summer.
The song is all about playing live music on stage in the face of adversity and against the odds.
Chick McFarlane (21) of Forres is lead guitarist in the band.
He said: “Hot Stuff is all about the live show, so we really wanted the video to be set on a stage. We knew Elgin Town Hall is a great venue with a brilliant stage, so it was ideal for what we were looking for.”
Bad Actress last performed at Elgin Town Hall in 2018 in front of 400 people attending a beer festival.
Since then they have played venues around Scotland, England and Wales, including a UK tour with Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Journey, Thin Lizzy) and Wales dates with US rockers, Hardline. They’ve also released an EP and a string of singles, including a Christmas cover of Run Run Rudolph, which secure them a slot on STV News.
Their most recent track, She’s Got Fire, was released in May and the accompanying video had more than 15,000 YouTube views in its first two weeks.
Next stop for the band is Glasgow on Saturday, July 2 for their own headline show before a series of festival appearances and support slots across the UK over the next few months. This includes an Inverness date in October and an Aberdeen show in December.
Visiting Elgin Town Hall for the video filming has prompted the band to consider a possible show there at some point. Chick McFarlane added:
“We’d love to play Elgin again; it’s been too long. We have a pretty full calendar for most of this year but we’re looking into it to see if an Elgin show is feasible.”
Bad Actress are: Vinnie Vexx (22) on lead vocals, Chick McFarlane (21) on lead guitar, Lui Q (18) on drums, Tommy B (25) on rhythm guitar, and 80-R (24) on bass.
