Elgin’s Edgar Road cordoned off by police after ‘unexploded ordnance device’ discovered





An area of Elgin has been cordoned off after an unexploded ordnance device was found.

A cordon was put in place around Edgar Road - with police outside Springfield Retail Park and Asda in the early afternoon.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 12.35pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, we were called to a report of an old unexploded ordnance device found in the Edgar Road area of Elgin.

“A cordon is in place around the area as a precaution and EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) have been informed.”
