A NEW app has been launched which aims to help young people prepare for life after education.

Fledgelink, which has been endorsed by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) Jobhelp website, includes jobs, skill building and networking amount its features all designed to help youngsters make better decisions and land their dream job.

To help with building skills, the app offers free workshops and activities, accessible on-demand, packed with practical support and guidance.

Vacancies featured on the site are tailored to suit young people, ranging from apprenticeships through to internships, and entry level jobs.

The networking section allows young people to connect both with experts and each other to share knowledge, hints and tips.

Meanwhile, the blog is a mine of information based around other young people sharing their experiences and thoughts.

DWP employer and partnership manager Jane Munro said: "Fledglink is an attractive way of bringing free employability support to young people from their smartphone.
