Moray Council closes all primary schools and nurseries early due to Storm Éowyn





All primary schools and nurseries in Moray will close early today (Friday, January 24) due to Storm Éowyn.

Moray Council says it “monitored and taken into consideration” Met Office updates before making the decision to shut all schools at 1.30pm.

Secondary schools will close at 1.10pm, as is normal on a Friday.

Schools will put messages out to parents and carers directly with any further information.

A yellow weather warning is set to be in place from 1pm today and throughout Saturday morning.

Trains are not running, buses have been cancelled and flights grounded.
