A man has been fined after a crash on the A96 near Inverness Airport.

The collision, which involved a car and a van, occurred at the Mid Coull Junction at around 11.30am on Wednesday.

Nobody was hurt in the crash, but the busy trunk road was restricted in both directions for a time - sparking tailbacks and warnings to passing motorists to take extra care on their approach.

"There were no injuries reported. The road has since reopened.
