A FREE health and wellbeing event has been organised at Forres Jobcentre Plus.
Representatives from Forres Online, Forres Area Community Trust, Moray Council's Income Maximisation and Housing teams, Moray Wellbeing Hub, NHS Healthpoint, PeoplePlus employment support, Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Christians Against Poverty, Moray Wellbeing Hub, Arrows drug and alcohol support, Rural Environmental Action Project and the Rural Environmental Action Project will be on-hand with motivational support and advice on Wednesday, February 19, from 2.30pm to 4pm.
Organiser and DWP Employer and Partnership manager, Jane Munro, wants to deliver a local community hub to save people having to travel to Elgin or Inverness.
She said: "Bringing a group of partners together ensures that there is something for everyone, offering different services, signposting or accepting referrals to their service, which in turn can lead to our customers receiving the help they require at the time they need it.
"At the last event we delivered in November, People Plus attend delivered Fair Start Scotland. They registered attendees for the provision, which will help them move towards employment.
"The Income Maximisation Team attended then too and we saw a number of customers struggling with budgeting receive the support they required."
She added: "Work coaches will offer advice on skills and knowledge required to look for work. So why not pop along; who knows you may meet someone who can assist, whilst gaining knowledge and understanding of local services."
