This means that 58.3 per cent of those aged 18 and over in Moray are now fully vaccinated.

Despite the Fiona Elcock Vaccination Centre in Elgin being closed for a deep clean this week, a total of 3408 second jabs have been administered within the last seven days, taking the number of people given two vaccine doses to 45,184.

A total of 418 first jabs were given in the same period of time. Across Moray, 68,884 people (88.9 per cent of the area's adult population) have now received at least the first dose of a vaccine.

This remains the highest first dose coverage in mainland Scotland.
