A familiar face took the honours at the Forres Golf Club men’s championship, with Bryan Fotheringham winning the title for the 11th time.
The blue riband event which is contested over 72 holes was played out over the weekend of June 10-12.
Play got under way on the Friday evening, concluding with two rounds on the Sunday.
Winner of the RB Finlay Cup is the player with the lowest 72 hole gross score. Running alongside the event was the CS Stark 36-hole handicap championship played on Saturday and Sunday, which was contested by 14 members vying for the honour of being crowned the 2016 club champion.
Jake Carpenter led the way with a gross 68 after the first round, but a superb 64 from Bryan Fotheringham on Saturday put him in ahead with a 36-hole total of 139, giving him a two-shot lead over Thomas Bell who recorded two rounds of 71 and 70 (141). Mark Jones was third with 142.
There was everything to play for on Sunday. After the third round Fotheringham held a five-shot lead from Colin Mackay who had a 70 which was the best round of the morning. Mackay had a two shot advantage over third placed Thomas Bell who recorded a 72.
The field was reduced by two on Sunday afternoon, with four rounds in three days taking its toll. There was a tense finish but Fotheringham claimed the crown for the 11th time.

Players in the first round of the C S Stark handicap championship teed off on Saturday morning.
After the first 18 holes Colin Young headed the field with a superb nett 65, closely followed by Allan Martin on 66.
With plenty of golfers within striking distance, there was everything to play for in the second round on Sunday.
The scoring was relatively low, reflected by a CSS of 71, with a few less golfers taking part, having returned a no score in the first round.
