ORGANISERS of a major Forres event are helping to promote a fun day at a local school.

A family ticket for November’s Colours of Cluny lights and music show will be raffled during Dyke Primary’s family event on Sunday from noon-3pm.

A Dyke Primary spokeswoman said: "We are delighted with the donation from Colours of Cluny.

"We have had huge support from many businesses who have donated lots of prizes and the Summer Fun Day is shaping up to be a great event.

"We have numerous craft stalls, home baking, arena entertainment including cheerleaders, doggy displays, martial arts and a choir.

"There will also be a fire engine, a police car and a fun run.

"Sideshow entertainment includes nail in the bale, a treasure hunt, and guess the name of the teddy.

"The pupils are heavily involved in running some of the stalls but the event will be an afternoon out for the whole community."

Colours of Cluny was created in 2016 by the Forres Features Community Interest Company to boost the local economy by encouraging visitors to visit the town.

Forres Features chairman, Graham Murdoch, said: "We are delighted to support Dyke’s fundraising event and wish them every success on the day.

"Colours of Cluny has exciting developments planned including amazing lighting covering areas not previously illuminated, and use of ultra violet lighting.

"Other exciting ideas are also under consideration."
