Two new coronavirus cases in Moray take total to 77

TWO new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Moray since Friday afternoon.

No new cases were recorded in the area on Saturday, one was recorded yesterday and one today.

The total number of cases confirmed in Moray since the outbreak began is now 77.

A total of 22 new cases have been confirmed across the Grampian region since Friday, taking the health board's total to 1245.

According to Scottish Government figures, Aberdeenshire has 423 confirmed cases – a rise of two – and Aberdeen City has 732, a rise of 18.

Highland council has also seen two new cases over the weekend, taking its total number of cases to 195.

At midnight, 71 people were in hospitals across the Grampian region. That's a rise of three since Friday. The number of people in intensive care is less than five – it was six on Friday.

Across Scotland, the number of people who have tested positive for coronavirus and died within 28 days is now 2273. That is an increase of 28 deaths from Friday.

A total of 103,508 people have been tested for the virus in Scotland, with 88,352 negative and 15,156 positive.

The number of patients discharged from hospital is 3572. That is an increase of 64.
