No new cases of coronavirus in Moray

NO new cases of coronavirus were recorded in Moray overnight.

That means the total number of confirmed cases in the area since the outbreak began remains 77.

One new case was recorded yesterday, with one new case also recorded on Sunday.

Five new cases were confirmed Grampian-wide overnight, taking the health board's total to 1250.

Aberdeenshire recorded one new case of the virus, taking the area's total to 424. Aberdeen City has recorded 736 cases – a rise of four.

Highland council area also saw no increase in its number of confirmed cases – with the total remaining 195.

At midnight, 66 people were in hospitals across the Grampian region. That's five fewer than yesterday. The number of people in intensive care remains less than five.

Across Scotland, the number of people who have tested positive for coronavirus and died within 28 days is now 2291. That is an increase of 18 deaths overnight.

A total of 104,880 people have been tested for the virus in Scotland, with 89,695 negative and 15,185 positive.

The number of patients discharged from hospital is 3589. That is an increase of 17.
