HAS anybody got any information on Margaret (aka Peg) Singer? She was my maternal grandmother born in Forres in June 1911, mother Emily Elizabeth Singer, father noted on birth certificate as James MacKenzie of Forres.

Emily took out a paternity suit against him and she won her case... brave woman in that day and age! I have had some luck in tracing a school friend of hers but the lady doesn't know what became of Peg after they both left school. I believe Peg married a Jack Manning in London circa 1939/40 and she visited Forres back in the 1960's. Any information at all would be gratefully received. M. MacLean mo.maclean@btinternet.com
