FORRES Mechanics have set up a "think tank" to look at the proposed Bogton Road development and how it will affect the local football club – and the community.

Chairman Dr James Anderson said he had invited six local men to sit on a project consultative group to consider what the club – and the community – should be looking for from the proposed development. "I have asked six men who I think represent a big block of staunch Forres Mechanics fans to join this group – Bruce Hay, Douglas Williamson, Colin Whittle, Franny Duncan, Dave Taylor and Colin Watson. "This is a big project and Forres Mechanics is going to need as much input as possible, not just for the club, but also for the rest of the community." Dr Anderson said he saw the group as a sounding board for both club and community. "It will be something of a think tank and we hope that members of the community, as well as supporters of the club, will pass on their thoughts to them. It is important that the Mechanics are seen as being outward looking in this, willing to listen to every view. We see this as a community, we want to be representatives of the community." He said he hoped that the people of Forres would use the opportunity to put their views on the development to the six men, highlighting what could be brought to the community through the Mechanics's involvement in the development.
