Marc McRae, a former Applegrove Primary and Forres Academy pupil, son of Colin and Angie McRae, Dawnlea, Rafford, graduated from The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with a BA (Hons) in Management. Marc is now working with a navigational company in Aberdeen.
Shona Mackenzie, daughter of Donald and Helen Mackenzie, Pilmuir Road, Forres, graduated BA (Hons) in management from Robert Gordon University. Shona is a former pupil of Forres Academy.
Jeanette McLean, from Forres, graduated BSc in nursing (with Distinction) from the University of Stirling. She is now working at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
Rory Fraser-Mackenzie, youngest son of George and Patsy, Forres, graduated from the University of Sussex with a Masters in electrical and electronic engineering. He was awarded his degree by Lord Richard Attenborough, who stood down from his position as Chancellor of the University after this summer's ceremonies.
Donna McDonald, daughter of David and Donna McDonald, from Forres, graduated from the University of Abertay Dundee with 1st Class Honours in Criminological Studies. Donna is a former pupil of Pilmuir Primary School and Forres Academy.
Dr David MacKay, MB ChB, graduated from Edinburgh University Medical School. Dr MacKay, who is the son of Neil and Betsy MacKay, Highbury, 8 Mannachie Rise, Forres, is a former pupil of Applegrove Primary School and Forres Academy, where he was Senior Dux in 2002. He was also the winner of Forres Community Activities Association Youth Activities Shield in the same year. He starts his first job on a surgical ward in Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, in August.
Lisa Mackintosh, of Ferry Croft, Broom of Moy, has graduated MA (Hons) in Psychology from Glasgow University. The former pupil of Dyke Primary and Forres Academy is the daughter of Isobel and the late John Mackintosh.
Allan Macpherson, son of Carole and James Macpherson, Rafford, Forres, graduated BA (Hons) in accountancy from Napier University, Edinburgh. Allan is currently working in Edinburgh with the Abbey Bank.
Murray Macleod, a former Forres Academy pupil, graduated PhD in chemistry from Trinity College, Dublin. Murray is the youngest son of Lorna and Dan Macleod, Fort William.

Graham Macpherson, son of James and Carole Macpherson, Granary Park, Rafford, graduated from the Robert Gordon University with a BA (First Class Hons) in retail management. A former pupil of Anderson’s Primary School and Forres Academy, Graham was also the recipient of the Centenary Award for the best overall student and is furthering his career with the Debenhams group.
