Alistair Wilson, son of Peter and Heather Wilson, St Leonard's Road, Forres, graduated from Edinburgh University, with a masters degree (first class honours) in Chemical Engineering. Alistair, a fomer pupil of Applegrove Primary and Forres Academy, was one of five chemical engineering graduates from all over the UK to receive the Salter's Graduate Award.

Jessica Wilson, daughter of Peter and Heather Wilson, St Leonard's Road, Forres, graduated from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, with a BSc (first class honours) in Actuarial Mathematics. Jessica, a fomer pupil of Applegrove Primary and Forres Academy, was awarded the Watt Club Medal for being the highest-scoring student on the course.
