Cheryl Robertson, niece of Henry Dey of Russell Place, Forres, graduated B Ed (Hons) from Aberdeen University. Cheryl is the daughter of Ken and Jean Robertson of Forfar, Angus, and granddaughter of the late Henry and Jean Dey from Forres.

James Ure, a former Applegrove and Forres Academy pupil, graduated from Strathclyde University with a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with distinction. He is due to begin an engineering doctorate at Strathclyde in September, in conjunction with British Energy. His parents live in Drumduan Road, Forres.

Iain Ritchie, a former Forres Academy and Anderson's Primary pupil, graduated from Imperial College in London with an MSc in Actuarial Finance. Iain, whose parents live at 45 Highfield, Forres, currently works as a trainee actuary with Hewitt Associates in St Albans, and is hoping to be fully qualified in September.

Lyndsay Sharp from Alves graduated MSc in sustainable rural development from Aberdeen University, after first graduating BSc in geosciences from the same university. Lyndsay, a former pupil of Alves Primary School and Forres Academy, is now working in Fort William as a land agent.

Naomi Rhind (23), daughter of Graham and Doreen Rhind, Little Crook, Forres, graduated BA (Hons) in management from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Naomi, a former pupil of Forres Academy, now works in the accounts department of Noble Drilling in Dyce, and has now started studying for her qualification in chartered accountancy.

Mark Ross, son of George and Fiona Ross, Alexandra Terrace, Forres, graduated with a BA in Social Sciences from Moray College UHI. Mark is a former pupil of Applegrove Primary School and Forres Academy.

Laura Tulloch, daughter of Bill and Wendy Tulloch, Grant Place, Forres, graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Glasgow, with a BEd (Hons) Music. The former pupil of Applegrove Primary School and Forres Academy has just started her probationary teaching year at Millburn Academy, Inverness.

Euan Stewart, son of James and Elspeth Stewart, Ardintigh, Forres, graduated from Glasgow University with a BSc in geography. Euan is a former pupil of Applegrove Primary School and Forres Academy.

Joanne Scott, Ardhasaig, Dallas, a former pupil of Dallas Primary School and Forres Academy, graduated from the Robert Gordon University with an honours degree in applied social science. Joanne begins a postgraduate teacher training course at Aberdeen University this month.

Louise Schiavone, daughter of Bert and Elaine Schiavone, Rafford, and fiancee of Matthew Morrell, graduated BA in midwifery from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. A former pupil of Anderson's Primary School and Forres Academy, Louise is currently on maternity leave following the birth of daughter Evie.

Aaron Schiavone, a former Forres Academy pupil, graduated MSc in petroleum geoscience (basin evolution and dynamics) from the Royal Holloway University in London. Son of Bert and Elaine Schiavone, Rafford, and brother of Louise, Aaron is currently working in Milan as a geologist for ENI.

Katie Ross, daughter of Campbell and Fiona Ross, The Courtyard, Findhorn, graduated from Edinburgh University with a BA in Humanities and Social Sciences. Katie is a former pupil of Applegrove Primary School and Forres Academy.

Stephen Temple, a former pupil of Kinloss Primary School and Forres Academy, graduated from Aberdeen University with a BSc (Hons 2.1) in Sport and Society. He is the son of Anna and the late Mike Temple, 14 Anderson Crescent, Forres.

Alex Simpson, son of Jim and Carol Simpson, Forres, graduated from Glasgow University BSc (Hons) in Geographic Information and Mapping Sciences. Alex, who is a former pupil of Forres Academy and Pilmuir Primary, begins his new job as an offshore surveyor with Fugro World Wide in late July.

Kevin Soutar, son of Jim and Margaret Soutar, former pupil of Anderson’s Primary School and Forres Academy, graduated from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University with a BA (Hons)in Applied Social Sciences.

Peter Stirrup, a former pupil of Forres Academy, graduated from Napier University with a BA in Business Studies with First Class Honours. Peter, the only son of Les and Lorraine, now works as an international assignment consultant in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Linsay E. Rhind, a former pupil of Anderson's Primary School and Forres Academy, graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BSc with First Class Honours in Physiotherapy. Linsay is the daughter of Ian and Evelyn Rhind, Barwell Road, Forres. She is now working as part of the physiotherapy team at the Ian Charles Hospital, Grantown-on-Spey.

Lyndsay Anne Traynor graduated BSc Hons in optometry from Glasgow Caledonian University. Lyndsay, a former pupil of Anderson's Primary School and Forres Academy, was also awarded the Scottish Committee of Optometrists' best final year student, best student in General Optometric Practice and best student in Speciality Clinics.

Niall Slater, a former Dyke Primary School and Forres Academy pupil, graduated MA (Hons) in English from Aberdeen University. Niall is now studying for an MA in journalism at a London university.

Andrew Reid, son of Joyce and Donnie, 3 Ferryhill, Forres, graduated from Aberdeen's Robert Gordon University, Bachelor of psychiatric nursing. Andrew is a former pupil of Forres Academy.

Mark Rooke, Forres, son of the late Stephen Rooke and Jane Rooke, former Kinloss Primary and Forres Academy pupil, has graduated from Strathclyde University with a BEng (Hons) in Product Design Engineering.

Aaron Schiavone (21), from Rafford, graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a BSc (hons) in geology and petroleum geology. Aaron, who was a pupil at Forres Academy and Anderson’s Primary School, is moving to London to complete his masters degree at the Royal Holloway University.
