James Nicolson, a former pupil of Nairn Academy, graduated as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with first class honours from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Jim is the eldest son of Colin and Roslyn Nicolson, Glenferness Mains, and grandson of Sheena and the late Alex Nicolson and Jimmy and the late Margaret Dingwall, Forres.
Kay Nicolson, a former Logie Primary and Forres Academy pupil, daughter of Kim and Allan Nicolson, Relugas Mains Farm, Dunphail, graduated from Edinburgh University with an MA Hons in English Literature. She is now going on to study a Masters in Journalism at Napier University.
Caroline Phelvin-Stewart, daughter of Sheila Phelvin, Forres, graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA (Hons) in Sociology and Social Anthropology.
Cheryl Nicolson, a former Forres Academy pupil, graduated from Aberdeen's Robert Gordon University, BA (hons) applied social sciences. Cheryl is the daughter of Iona Nicolson, Elgin, and Alistair Nicolson, Dunphail.
James Alexander Nicolson graduated from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with a BA in Law and Management. James is the eldest son of Colin and Roslyn Nicolson, Glenferness Mains, and grandson of Jimmy and the late Margaret Dingwall, Carisbrooke Hotel, Forres, and Sheena and the late Alex Nicolson, Mannachie Brae, Forres. He is now working towards an LLB (Hons) degree.
Sara Parsons, daughter of Liz and Nigel Parsons, of Forres, has graduated from the University of Stirling with a BSc in Nursing. A former pupil of Applegrove Primary School and Forres Academy, she has just started nursing at Meadowlark Nursing Home in Forres.
Alanah Proctor, Rescot, 3 Pilmuir Road, Forres, graduated from Aberdeen University with a BSc (Hons) in Bio-medical Science. Alanah is the daughter of Neil and Lesley. Alanah a former pupil of Applegrove Primary and Forres Academy, is now going on to study medicine at Dundee University.
Glynis Newberry, Forres, graduated from Inverness College with a HND in Acting and Performance with Merits in Voice, Production, Acting Skills and Contemporary Scottish Theatre. Glynis who was previously a professional dancer in Hong Kong became interested in acting after performing with the Forres Alternative Festival in 2002. She recently performed as Goody Putnam in the TAG Theatre and NTS co-production of The Crucible at the Universal Hall. She runs a production company “Illusions” teaching and producing events of dance and drama.
