A PHOTOGRAPHY competition has been launched to capture the beauty of Forres and its surrounds.

People, pets, plants and buildings are all legitimate photographic subjects for the contest which is being supported by St Leonard's Church.

The entries will all be on display during July and August.

Those judged best will be used to produce a 2020 calendar with any profits being awarded to support the Mental Health Scotland charity.

Entries are open until Thursday, June 27.

Drop off your photos at the church between 6pm and 8pm on Thursdays.

Full details of the contest can be obtained from the Village Greenery florists or from Wright's Home Hardware.
