DESPITE high winds, several good scores were returned by members of the ladies' section at Forres Golf Club in their SLGA medal (CSS 72). Isobel Taylor had an excellent score of 64 nett and reduced her handicap to nine.

Mixed competition - Gloves were off on Wednesday when 54 Forres seniors and ladies played in a three-ball-best-ball competition for the Leanchoil Centenary Cup.

Each team consisted of two seniors and one lady. The event was in aid of charity and raised £270 towards Macmillan Cancer Support.
