Manager of the High Street charity shop, Barbara Vesco went along to Applegrove where she received a cheque for £117.89.

The cash was donated by P3 pupils who raised the money at their Christmas Nativity performance entitled ‘Prickly Hay’.

Because the pupils worked hard to remember all the words and actions to their songs, they decided the proceeds from the parents’ collection should be given to help those who may have memory difficulties.

Alex Grant and Amber Codd who both took part in the Nativity handed over the money in a special presentation.

The Alzheimer shop in Forres High Street is totally dependent on donations.

Mrs Vesco said all monies given were gratefully received and go towards helping the branch to achieve its aim of having a Dementia Advisor appointed for Moray.
