Forres welcomes visitors from its twin town this week

FORRES is rolling out the red carpet and the fire hoses for a special group of visitors this week.

Councillor Jeff Hamilton and his wife, Pearl are among a contingent of local people who are preparing to host a group of German fire-fighters who are visiting the area from Forres’ twin town of Vienenburg this week.

They have a busy a timetable of events which included a trip to Forres fire station on Monday morning.

They are also hoping to visit other emergency services departments, including the local police station, the Moray Inshore Rescue boat at Findhorn and other fire stations around the area.

they will also be finding time for a bit of rest and relaxation as well amd will be enjoying social get-togethers with local members of the twin-town association.
