A couple living in the eco-friendly surroundings of the Findhorn Foundation adhered to the re-use and re-cycle motto of the new age community, when re-furbishing a cottage recently.

As regular customers to the Moray Waste Busters site near Waterford, staff have come to know Cornelia Featherstone and Roy Chillingworth very well and couldn’t conceal their delight when seeing how the local couple have used a lot of the old items to kit out their home.

The pair who have been refurbishing part of their home into a self-catering studio flat have furnished it almost exclusively using items bought from the Waste Busters.

Moray Waste Busters representatives, Lynn Donaldson and Laura Steele were invited along to ‘Caledonia’ to see the work that has been carried out at the cottage and see how second hand items and ‘rubbish’ can be re-used and upcycled.
